We always go to the Christmas Eve service at our church. The kid's service is so fun with the kids dressing up as part of the Christmas story (manger animals, angels, shepherds, kings, etc) and join the holy family as the scriptures are read and songs are sung. Peyton read one of the scriptures this year and did a great job. It was really chaotic as the kids made their way up to the alter to join the holy family. Some little ones were crawling all over the alter and parents were having to come get them. It was really crazy. It all settled down when the lights were turned down and we all lit our candles and sang Silent Night. I always love that part. We then went to my parents house where Louisa and BJ joined us for dinner.
