Happy 4th of July

We spent the 4th of July at home this year.  We usually take part in our neighborhood parade, but since we are in a new neighborhood and they don't have a parade, we decided to just get some work done around the house instead.  Peyton and Karsten helped to get the house looking festive and Pa Pa came over to help us trim trees.  It ended up being an all day affair, but the trees looked great.  We all cooled off at the pool and then headed back home to host the rest of the family for a traditional All American meal: fried chicken, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, apple pie and Bluebell icecream.  Cha Cha and Clide, Paw Paw and Carol, Louisa and Colton, and Polly and Pa Pa were all here to celebrate.
