The 4th of July
We had our annual 4th of July parade around our neighborhood. Everyone dresses up in their best red, white, and blue and decorate their bikes, scooters, wagons, and strollers, and marches in a parade around the neighborhood. A fire truck leads the gang, which was really cool for the kids.

Karsten attempted to ride his bike this year (he still has training wheels), but by the time we had gotten to the meeting spot and then rode about a half a block, he was too tired to go any further. We ditched his bike in our friend's driveway and he hopped in the wagon with Cooper for the rest of the way. Peyton rode ahead on her bike (also still with training wheels) with her two buddies right behind the fire truck. We have got to take those training wheels off her bike soon.
Peyton won 2nd place for the craziest hat in the 6 and up division (thanks to her mom, who spent 30 minutes tying on curling ribbon to her bike helment and curling it with scissors). We had a good time and mom and dad and Paw Paw watched the parade from our yard.

Peyton and our neighboors, Sadie and Ella Austin, also got a cool ride from our neighbor, Cantu, on his motor bike. He is part of the Shriners and dresses as a clown and rides it for parades. The girls had a blast, but Karsten and Cooper were too afraid to ride it.
