Karsten's soccer

Karsten is playing soccer again too, with the same team he has been playing with since he was 4.  He has played t-ball the past 2 springs, but saves the fall for soccer.  He has really improved tremendously, thinking back to how we used to have to bribe him to even touch the ball with his foot.  He would run up and down the field, always 3-4 feet away from the ball at all times, but never any closer.  He has become quite a defensive player.  He started out the season staying at midfield or even farther back, really only focusing on playing defense.  Now, he is playing offense more, but mostly for setting up a good pass and rarely actually making a shot at the goal.  His coach, very seriously, calls him an incredibly unselfish player, always looking to pass to an open player and rarely looking for the glory of kicking a goal.  He hustles a lot and has learned how to become a more appropriately aggressive player.  I have been so proud of how he plays.  He is a big asset to his team.
