Karsten's Birthday

Karsten had a very full day for his birthday.  It started with a 2 hour dress rehearsal for our church's children's choir performance of "What's Up Zac".  Then Karsten had a t-ball game, which was the first game of their end of season tournament.  They won and moved onto the next round.  Then we went home and got ready for Polly and PaPa and Louisa, BJ, and Colton to come over for a family birthday party.  For Karsten's birthday present, we decided to get him a few things to decorate his new room with.  At first we talked about doing a sports theme, but I was afraid he might outgrow that too quickly.  We then asked him about doing a UT Longhorn theme.  He was so excited.  So, we got him a big UT flag, a UT trashcan, a UT floor mat, a UT nightlight, and a UT pennant.  To add to the theme, I turned the family lamb cake into a Longhorn.  It was not my best work, but it was just for family and everyone got the idea of what I was going for.  It was really easy, laid back party with pizza, salad, and cake and ice cream.  It is hard to believe that Karsten is now six years old!
