Christmas Morning

We all woke up bright and early to a tree full of presents. Santa was very generous this year, giving our 3 each new bikes and Erin got a Nintendo DS and Alex got a cool rocket that made blast off noises. The kids were all thrilled with their presents as was Rob with his huge golf club. The kids were very patient and watched each other open their presents and tried to give "thank you's" and hugs in between gifts.

Cooper helping Rob put batteries in his little computer. He went and got his tool box so that he could use his own screwdriver. It was really cute. Erin and Alex are so sweet to each other and to my kids. They are a real joy to have around.

Karsten giving Oma a big thank you hug. Oma was very generous with pajamas, slippers, clothes and toys for all the kids.
Rob and Cooper with their new golf clubs. Rob searched high and low for a left-handed kids' golf club. Cooper really does swing left handed- at least for now. Rob joked that he will probably start swinging right-handed now that he has a left-handed club.

Overall, this was a great Christmas. Like Thanksgiving, the kids are all getting older and play so well together. The weather was amazing and we played outside a lot with all their new sports gear and bikes. They loved their presents (especially the bikes, DS, and rocket ship) and were really appreciative of them. The kids all slept really well in their makeshift beds. We really cherished our time with Rob's family. We hadn't all been together since Easter, so it was so nice to have them here and just hang out and relax together.
