First Day of School

We had the first day of school last week and everything went smoothly.  Everyone woke up excited for the day and ready to go.  They all picked out a new outfit to wear and were excited to try out their new backpacks and lunch boxes.  There were no tears at all, only brave smiles as they all entered their new classrooms.  Cooper was a champ and acted as though this was all old hat for him.  Since his pre-K year was at the elementary school, it didn't feel new at all to him. 

Cooper's teacher is a brand new graduate who was hired the week before school started.  She is young and very sweet and we'll just have to see how the year goes.  Karsten's teacher is very experienced and has a wonderful reputation as being a great teacher.  Peyton will be splitting time between two teachers, one teaches math and science, and other will teach language arts and social studies.  I have heard very good things about both of them, so I think we are in for a good year.
