Karsten has entered the potty talk phase, full force. He is also really into rhyming, so very often he chooses a word that will rhyme with a potty word and start there. First it is "Coops", then "loops", and inevitably "poops". We try to discourage it without making a huge deal of it so that he doesn't get much attention from it.
He also tries to use the potty words when they are appropriate in context as often as possible, like "Mommy- Cooper has a poopy diaper." What am I supposed to say about that? He does truly have a poopy diaper.
The latest was really funny. A couple weeks ago, Peyton and Karsten spent the night at my parents' house. Their cat brought in a bird and it flew all around the house. They opened all the doors and windows and eventually it flew out.
Karsten was telling me about this and he used the word bird poop as much as humanly possible. Here is how it went: "Mommy, when that bird was in Polly's house, it pooped on the floor. Pa Pa picked up the poop with a paper towel and then pretended to eat the poop. He chased us around with the poopy paper towel." The story went on with a few more references to poop. He is getting to be such a smart boy!
