Both mornings, we headed out to the beach first thing and the kids loved it. My sister-in-law, Stacey, laughed that the beach is perfect for kids because you can get messy and dirty and it is okay. The kids had fun making sand castles and digging and looking for shells. Maddie and Peyton were very brave and ventured out pretty far. Our cautious boys, Adam and Karsten, stayed much closer to shore. Cooper loved digging and throwing sand and running into the water. The second day, he was not so fond of the beach so mom took him back to the condo and they hung out there the rest of the morning. I think he was tired from staying up too late and not sleeping well and he kept rubbing the sunscreen from his face into his eyes. Anyway, this picture definitely shows how he felt that second morning.

After naps in the afternoon, we headed to the pool, which was a nice change from the sandy beach. We had a great time and the kids were all really well behaved and it was just nice to hang out with my family.

looks like fun! except for the sunscreen incident...
