Day 3 of our San Francisco Trip was our actual 10 year anniversary. We went to the Golden Gate Bridge, which was really cool. It was really cold and windy, which we actually loved and totally enjoyed since it was still over 100 degrees in Austin that day. We walked half way across the bridge and back and then went down to the old fort below it.
We also went to a SF Giants game that night. The stadium is right on the bay and overlooks the water. We got seats that were really high up so that we could look out across the water at the view and all the boats. We weren't planning on staying for the whole game, but it ended up being a no-hitter game (which, I guess is pretty rare) and was almost a perfect game (meaning no one got on base). The 3rd baseman dropped the ball for an error, so one guy got on base the whole game. The crowd was really excited about it, so that was fun to watch.

The next day we went to Golden Gate Park, which I had not really heard much about. It is a huge park right in the middle of the big city. There are amazingly tall trees and beautiful flowers and a big pond and once you are in the park, you can't imagine that you just came from wall to wall buildings. We enjoyed just taking our time and walking around, again in nice cool temperatures.

That afternoon, we went to the Cable Car Museum, which was really interesting. All the cable cars are attached to these four pulleys in the museum. You can see them spinning around, pulling all the cable cars around the city. It was really amazing.
That night we took a ferry to Alameda to visit my friend from high school, Betsy Mueller, that lives there. She is an animator for movies and has done films like Happy Feet, Star Trek, Die Hard, and is working on a Disney Christmas Story movie now. It was great catching up with her and hearing about her interesting job. We walked along the beach and it started sprinkling and then we saw a double rainbow. I have only seen a double rainbow a few times in my life and this was the absolutely brightest one that I have seen. We finished the evening with ice cream from one the local ice cream shops.
So, San Francisco was great. The break from the kids and time alone was also great. You may have noticed that we didn't get even one picture of the two of us together. Since our camera was new, Rob wouldn't let anyone touch it. I, on the other hand, took pictures of other couples and families with their cameras throughout the trip. We did get some great shots though and we do love our new camera. Now the questions is: When and where is the next trip???

You guys just look so young and happy. Looking at the pictures I would think it was your honeymoon! Of course, being away from 3 kids will make anyone look brighter.
